As a Group, NKG strives to create and inspire change across the industry to make coffee holistically sustainable. We want to champion causes that give the industry the best chance of growth and sustainability. The coffee business is also a people business, and we want to ensure everyone is cared for, which means ensuring that everyone on every part of the coffee value chain is financially enabled.

Industry and Community

Indonesia’s coffee industry has thrived since the 19th century, and continues to shine on the global stage.

But it takes a village, sometimes even more. As Indonesia’s coffee space continues to bloom, the industry and government bodies have started more initiatives and support systems to assist where necessary.

The Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI) and the Sustainable Coffee Platform of Indonesia (SCOPI) are two organizations established for the local coffee community. Both offer programs, events, and community, all to support and enable financially vulnerable stakeholders along the coffee chain, and safekeeping the environment to ensure the sustainability of coffee for the future.
